sippin' on some purple stuff, rollin up stanky

August has been walking. Also, as always, he has been rollin' up stanky. For mandated reporters, the purple stuff would be juice and the stanky would be in his diapers.

Chillax, Parents!

August has been slow to update his blog, but that's just how he is, a laid back kinda guy. Why walk on your own when you could hold on to a wall, or a finger, or just have mom carry you. Why would you worry about developmental progress when there is gardening to be done, or swimming.

On a more promising developmental note, August is talking up a storm. He is mostly into nouns right now, the most popular being: DaDa, Duck!, 'raffe(for giraffe), cat, hat and dog. He has not yet said MaMa, but Mama is trying to remain optimistic and avoid bitter feelings every time she gets called DaDa.

We got clean bill of health from Doctor Willard. Turns out he has an exceptionally gigantic head. So, if all else fails, he plans to join the circus when he turns 18.

All in all things are going well, and August is looking forward to a long hot summer filled with gardening and baby pool time with Stanley the duck.

1 years old

August and Lilah had a great time at their 1 year old birthday party. They ate cake and hamburgers and strawberries and watermelon and charmed the crowd with their good looks and winning personalities.

Get out bad snakes!

August will be one year old in less than one month. Time flies when you party as hard as this guy. He is pictured below engaged in his 2 favorite pastimes. Being kissed on by mom and taking off his shoes and socks.

Pool Hall

A trip to Columbia's own, the Varsity, with his uncle Ross (Tony even had some apple sauce for him behind the counter). Also later that day, his uncle Jeremy got married. Congratulations! And a cute drool shot.
